Whether it is terrorism, unrest in Middle East, economic recession in US, a natural disaster like the recent earth quake in Turkey, Tsunami during the month of December, 2004, or SARS epidemic in China, no one -regardless of the country/continent one lives in -has now the luxury to look the other way. Our lives that were formerly partitioned across these man-made national/regional/cultural boundries, are now so interdependent that we all have no options but to look beyond our own comfort zones, and to start paying attention to the world events, to think globaly, and participate actively.

Making our voices heard, our concerns known, participating in the governance of our countries, and preserving this planet for our future generations is our civic responsibility. Doing so is an obligation to our society, our nation & humanity.
